Haiti - Bio

Hello! I thought I would finally introduce myself as well! My name is Courtney Barnett and I’m from Indialantic, FL. I’m 27 years old and this is my first mission trip (eek). Since I confirmed my spot on the Haiti relief team, my spirit has been soaring! During a time of a lot of unknowns, I KNOW that this trip is now in God’s plan for me. My sister’s words keep reverberating in my heart, “In the meantime, love God and love others. That is His calling in all of our lives.”
I love God. I love God’s people. I love to travel. I love the outdoors. I love adventure. For the last four years, I’ve spent five days a week working in the finance department at an accounting company. The rest of my time has consisted of what I just named above. I have felt God telling me to “sit and to wait” for a long time. I wasn’t exactly sure for what I was to “sit and wait.” So, I’ve patiently waited for the right time and opportunity to serve. When I found this trip, I felt God’s approving nod. At last! What a precious feeling to know that you are taking a bold step in God’s direction.
I’m so excited to see the relationships that God will create among our team and with the Haitian people. I’ve read so many of your stories and how you all came to be a part of this trip. I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of such a Godly group of people. I can’t wait to serve along the side of each and every one of you and see our God at work in Haiti. You will all be in my prayers as we prepare for God’s mission to come! 
